Initial Consultation Call

Free. Let’s learn about each other and determine if we are a good match. My consult calls will review availability, your reason for seeking therapy, and insurance/payment information. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have about the therapeutic process or my approach.

Individual Counseling

Starting at $150 per session. Sessions are typically 45-55 minutes. I utilize a variety of modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, somatic techniques, and solution focused methods. You deserve support and understanding during this important time. Let's create a plan for your well-being.

Couples Counseling

Starting at $150 per session. Spots are limited. I utilize the evidence based Gottman method which explores nine components of a healthy relationship. If you are experiencing chronic conflict, infidelity, communication challenges, or feeling emotionally distant — this method may work for you.

Common Questions

  • What can I expect? My role is to listen, ask questions, guide, and challenge you to shape your own path. Progress looks different for everyone. I like to do a mix of structured and unstructured treatment as this is typically the most helpful with my approach. I have a casual approach but will challenge you when needed. I pride myself on being upfront and honest throughout your treatment journey - and you can do the same with me.

  • Do you take insurance? Yes, I take some insurances which I bill through the Alma platform. Currently, I see individuals with Aetna, UHC, and Cigna. Alma handles all of the billing and copay collection. I also take private pay clients and can provide a superbill for you to submit for reimbursement.

  • Do you offer in person sessions? No, I only offer virtual sessions. I am licensed in North Carolina, California, Arizona, Michigan, and Florida. If you live in one of these states, we can work together. I utilize a HIPPA-compliant videoconferencing system and electronic medical record.

  • What is your cancellation policy? I request at least a 24-hour notice for rescheduling or cancelling appointments. Life happens so I give one freebie per year. After that, there is a $125 fee that is due prior to scheduling any follow up appointments. Please discuss with me if you have a unique situation.

  • How long does therapy last? Until you are satisfied with the outcome. Each person will have different counseling goals so there is no solid answer to this question. Traditionally, short term counseling can be about 3 months while longer term counseling can be months or even years. However, my goal is not to keep you in counseling forever. I’m just a stepping stone in your journey.

  • How do I know you are qualified? In order to become a fully licensed counselor, there are many state and national requirements. A counselor must first complete a Master’s Degree and an additional two years and 3,000 hours of supervised practice to obtain an unrestricted license. I am licensed in multiple states and hold additional certifications. Read more about me here.
