Meet Katelyn
Howdy! Welcome to my counseling practice where I encourage healing and growth through compassionate counseling. I am here to candidly support you through your journey.
Counseling requires a lot of effort and can only be truly transformative if you show up as yourself; I will show up as myself too and that may include laughing, maybe some crying, and definitely some hard conversations.

Let’s be real—everyone experiences anxiety at some point. It’s a part of being human. But for some of us, that anxious feeling doesn't just come and go—it sticks around. It shows up in our bodies as tight shoulders, headaches, restlessness. Our thoughts won’t slow down, and sleep feels out of reach. Maybe it's constant worry about work, feeling unsteady in your relationships, struggling through big life transitions, or carrying around that inner critic that chips away at your confidence.
If this sounds familiar, I want you to know that you’re not alone—and you don’t have to manage it all by yourself. I specialize in working with individuals who are dealing with exactly these kinds of challenges. I’ve earned advanced certification as a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), which means I’ve been trained in evidence-based tools and approaches specifically designed to understand and reduce anxiety.
But beyond the credentials, what matters most to me is creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard and understood. Together, we can work to uncover what’s fueling your anxiety and find practical, personalized ways to bring more calm, clarity, and ease into your daily life.

Life is full of transitions—some expected, some that catch us completely off guard. Whether it's getting a new job, going through a breakup or divorce, starting a new school, moving to a new city, or facing a major shift in health or identity, these moments of change can feel overwhelming. Even when a transition is something we chose or looked forward to, it can still bring up a mix of emotions—grief, anxiety, confusion, even a sense of losing your footing.
These in-between spaces—the “no longer who I was, but not quite sure who I’m becoming” moments—can be both deeply challenging and incredibly powerful. I specialize in helping people navigate these times of uncertainty with compassion and clarity. Together, we can explore what this transition means for you, make space for whatever you're feeling, and help you reconnect with your values and your sense of self. Change can be disorienting, but it can also be a doorway into growth, healing, and renewal.
You don’t have to go through it alone. Let’s walk through this season together, and create a path forward that feels grounded, intentional, and true to you.

At some point in our lives, most of us go through something that shakes us to our core—whether it's one big life-changing event or a series of painful experiences over time. These moments don’t always just pass and fade away. They can stay with us, quietly influencing how we think, feel, and move through the world.
Trauma is more than just something that happened to us—it’s our emotional response to those events. For many, it can feel isolating. You might blame yourself, struggle to make sense of what happened, or push down your emotions just to get through the day. Sometimes trauma shows up in ways we don't immediately recognize—through physical symptoms, constant tension, negative thought patterns, or feeling like you're always on high alert. Maybe you're avoiding certain people, places, or situations without fully understanding why. Maybe the past keeps intruding on your present.
If any of this sounds familiar, you're not alone. I’m a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist for Individuals (CCTS-I) through Trauma Institute International. That means I’ve been trained in techniques specifically designed to support people who are navigating the effects of trauma. More importantly, I offer a space where you can feel safe, seen, and supported as you work through it. Together, we can explore tools to help you regulate your emotions, reconnect with yourself, and begin to heal on your own terms.

Item descriptionAs a mom myself, I truly get it—this journey into motherhood is beautiful, yes, but it can also be incredibly challenging in ways that are hard to put into words. The transition into this new role is so significant, it actually has its own name: matrescence. Much like adolescence, it’s a time of profound change—physically, emotionally, and mentally. It’s not just about having a baby; it’s about becoming someone new.
During this time, many women find themselves questioning who they are now, rethinking old beliefs, and trying to make sense of their shifting identity. It’s a season filled with love and joy, but it can also come with uncertainty, grief for the old version of yourself, and changes in relationships—especially with your partner—that you didn’t expect.
I’ve completed advanced training with Postpartum Support International, and I’m deeply passionate about supporting women during this unique and transformative period. You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Whether you're preparing for postpartum or you're already in the thick of it, we can work together to create a plan that’s centered around your needs, your values, and your wellbeing. Let’s find a rhythm that feels right for you—because your experience matters, too.
